Todd began his career in the publishing industry, where he worked as a literary publicist for several large publishing houses. His career brought him to Chicago, where he worked in the corporate public relations department of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, broadening his experience into the specialized medical field. At the Academy, Todd was recognized for his outstanding achievements and excellence in public relations with the PR Weekly Non‐Profit Team of the Year Award in 2002. He worked on the Academy’s award‐winning Prevent Injuries of America campaign and worked with orthopedic surgeons in promoting injury prevention messages in their local communities.

In 2004, Todd left the mid-west to fulfill a lifelong dream of living in Southern California where he spent the last fifteen working for several bi-coastal boutique public relations and eventually as independent public relations strategist in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Palm Springs and San Francisco markets. Todd has developed a strong base of media contacts on the west coast as well as the top media markets throughout the country.

Todd earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Todd is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America and volunteers his time to local HIV awareness programs for teens and young adults.
