My name is Wendy Myers, CHHC. I am the founder, head writer and Chief Eating Officer of Live to 110. I am a certified holistic health and nutrition coach in Los Angeles, Ca, having attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York and graduated with a degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California. I am also certified in Hair Mineral Analysis for the purpose of designing Mineral Power programs for clients. My clientele spans the globe.

I wake up every day excited to learn and write about nutrition, share it with my readers through the Live to 110 blog and the Live to 110 Podcast, and teach my clients how to live a healthy and disease free life. Nothing makes me happier than to have a client walk through the door exhausted, depressed and sick, and give them the knowledge to transform themselves into a renewed, healthy person. I am truly blessed to have found my calling. I love what I do.

My interest in nutrition began with the death of my father from esophageal cancer. Intuitively, I knew his chemo, radiation, and ten medications killed him prematurely. I vowed to find out what made him sick, why he died, what role medications played in his demise, and how I could avoid the same fate. The more I learned, the more I realized that all the answers to health do not lie in our medical system. Food and natural healing modalities must be used to compliment advances in modern medicine.

When I began learning about health and nutrition, I was confused and frustrated, much like you probably are now. There was so much conflicting information! Should I do Atkins, Paleo, Mediterranean, the South Beach Diet or go vegetarian? How do you lose weight, apart from starvation? What supplements should I take and which brands are best? Why are most people in the US so sick? Years were spent sorting through the information and finding the best answers to my questions.

What I found were a lot of wrong answers. A lot of information on nutrition is misguided, outdated, and outright lies. Some books I read were merely a pitch for an author’s supplements or were biased toward what diet worked for the author, which will not work for everyone. Many books I read were outdated or neglected to incorporate current research. Many books promoted diets that current research show to be dangerous or unhealthy.

Outrageously, much of the information on health and pharmaceuticals you are fed on CNN or other major news outlets and newspapers is completely false. They do not dare report unbiased information that would cast their advertisers – pharmaceutical companies and food manufacturers – or their products in an unfavorable light. Very little of what you hear in the news can be relied upon.

A surprising amount of research done by major universities is paid for by big biotechs, like Monsanto, pharmaceutical companies or food growers and manufacturers. Not surprisingly, the research results are usually favorable to their founder. It is difficult to decipher if what you are reading is real science conducted by unbiased scientists looking for honest answers.

Whether you’re reading my Live to 110 blog, listening to the Live to 110 Podcast or getting personal health coaching, I promise to the best of my ability that the information presented is factual and does not contain any of the above mentioned problems rife in nutrition reporting.
